Jan Swasthya Chetna Yatra
With support from the Health Department, Government of Haryana, M3M Foundation and Aide et Action launched the ‘Jan Swasthya Chetna Yatra’ an awareness-cum-vaccination campaign conducted under iMpower programme at Tauru block in Nuh district of Haryana. The campaign held from 12th to 31st August 2021, was focused on ramping up vaccination and shedding vaccine-related hesitancy among communities in 60 villages.
iMpower team along with the support of Dept. of Development Communication & Extension, Lady Irwin College, Delhi University designed and developed IEC material for awareness through ‘community-led’ and ‘people-centric’ games and activities. These games are designed in such a way that each box on the board of the game contains information regarding healthy practice and guidelines to be followed to control the spread of coronavirus. An auto-rickshaw roams around in the village playing Covid-19 vaccination song in local Haryanvi accent to encourage more people to get vaccinated against Covid19, which is strategically designed in local Haryanvi dialect to attract the rural population. Describe the scenario of children running behind the auto.
With continuous edutainment activities, community mobilization, and involvement of stakeholders across the villages, 2,677 community members were vaccinated and around 10,000 individuals were mobilised through this project.
